In 1998, we were still managing our various activities and subsidiaries with a 15-year-old in-house application, whose authors had left the company,” says Eric Fresnel, Managing Director. “This application was not going to survive the year 2000, it was a source of redundant information and processing and, critically, was beginning to slow down our growth.”
An average of five PM consultants worked to meet the challenge, to automate via SAP the whole integrated vertical process between Sleever International’s subsidiaries. This included the Finance, Management Control, Production, Purchasing/Supplies, and Sales modules.
After 11 months of intensive preparation, in October 1999, the solution was launched with a bang, and has been operational in Sleever ever since then.
The benefits of the new system: streamlined, non-redundant, and consistent data, all subsidiaries have real-time access to the same information, SAP provides instant visibility on purchases and expense commitments.
